End of Life
Tributes / Memorials
There are no
adequate words to describe how we feel when we lose a
loved one. There are some things we do know, however:
that we want to honor and celebrate their life with
dignity and respect; and that we want to mark their
passing with a sincere and meaningful tribute to them.
As
your Celebrant my mission is to provide you and your
family some comfort in knowing your loved one will have
a ceremony that reflects his or her wishes, beliefs,
cultural background and values – religious or
non-religious. I focus on the life that was lived,
carefully composing a customized and meaningful
ceremony. I impose nothing on you, but instead
collaborate with you, the family, and friends of the
deceased. The words I deliver will express and celebrate
the life of the person who has died. I know that nothing
can take away the grief you feel, but a genuine and
well-prepared tribute may ease some of your pain.
Animal Companion Loss
People need to
grieve the loss of their pets because their animal
companions are also a part of their family. Having a
memorial service for your animal gives you a space to
openly express your feelings of loss as well as enables
you to pay tribute to the joy your pet has given to you
in his or her life.
If
you choose to have a service to honor your animal
companion, I will provide you the same care and
attention I give to those who have lost their human
loved ones. Together we can create a ceremony that
reflects the spirit of your animal as well as pay homage
to their impact in your life.
